Welcome to the new home of "Falcon's Nest" and my little corner of the Internet! OK, what was I thinking when I chose the name of "Falcon's Nest'? Well, simple actually. My nickname, moniker, or "Call sign" was chosen for my love of Aviation so I chose "Falcon" which later became "Falconp51." The later actually has a multipart history and meaning so let me explain.

Over the years many friends have asked what the name Falconp51 stands for? Today, everyone who has an ISP (AOL, Netscape, MSN, etc.) will have a screenname. For what ever reasons we choose our screennames, the majority of the time there is a connection or history to it. The word "Falcon" refers to the mascot at the Air Force Academy and the multirole single seat/engine F-16 "Fighting Falcon." The "P-51" refers to the North American P-51 Mustang of WWII. Now, the last piece to the puzzle is the connection these two aircraft share. Both aircraft are single seat/single engine top of the line dog fighters and advanced technology for the times they represent. The aircraft also book end the 50 year history of the US Air Force (1947-1997).

Anyway, again thank you for taking the time to visit my "world" and read my ramblings. I hope I was able to pass on somekind of wisdom or appreciation for history and the sacrifies that our men and women of our Armed Forces have made for our country.

Sincerely,

Anthony "Falconp51" King

The closest I will ever get to being suited up and in a jet fighter. Friend of mine owned the nose section of a Corsair II and used it to raise funds for childrens charities.
No, I don't have my pilot's license yet. Yes, I do know how to fly this aircraft a Cessna 172.
The best job on Earth, being a Father! My pride and joy, Alyssa.
Chicago, 2002. The flight jacket and I go every where together!
