Hi.......my name is Gary Gray. This picture was taken on the Montague Waterfront this past summer. (2007) I would like to give photo credit to Joan Sinclair of the Prince Edward Island Heart & Stroke Foundation.

I live on Prince Edward Island on the East Coast of Canada and I can tell you that I truly enjoy living on "The Island". I was born here and I have lived here for most of my life. I really don't think I would want to live anywhere else in the world. If you think that is a little strange then come and ............. my Island home. It truly is like living in a beautiful garden. If you like golf you will just fall in love with the place. Friendly people, great beaches, wonderful bed & breakfasts and temps in the mid 20's C make for a winning combination.

I was a typical kid growing up. I went to high school worked at the local gas station and grocery store after school. Then in 1969 I joined the military and trained to be an Air Traffic Controller. In 1975 I had enough of military life and got out. I then went to work for the local Credit Union in 1976 and worked as part of the management team until 1992. I then had the opportunity to work with Mary Jean Irving for a short while helping her to get a new venture off the ground. (computer training and systems development) Mary Jean, by the way is the granddaughter of K.C Irving the founder of Irving Oil Co Ltd. A multi billion dollar family here in Atlantic Canada. I enjoyed the experience and learned a few things as well. I then began working with a Community Economic Development Group (Eastern Ventures) a Business Development Corporation in Eastern P.E.I. from 1993 to 1997. Then in 1998 I was invited to work with a family owned restoration company (Stewart's Restoration) that specialises in fire and flood restoration as well as environmental oil spill cleanup ( My work with them consisted of converting their paper based office systems to computer and general office work). I quite suddenly suffered a stroke in August of 2002 and lost the full mobility of my left arm and leg(I was left handed). Click on the "Strokenet Bio" link on the Left side of this page to read a more detailed account of the stroke. I am now getting around slowly and learning to adjust, I have more time to play now. (depending on my energy level) I have moved into my own apartment again (Aug 01, 2003) and I am happy to be on my own.

I wanted to experiment with building a simple web page and happened to find the 81x site. So I am just fooling around and I would be happy to receive your thoughts and feedback if you were so minded....thanks :o)
