Issue 2 of "Solid-gold Roller-skates" tackles the subject of suicide! We ask the important questions..."will suicide help me sell more books?" "do people who kill themselves really turn into trees that line the grottoes of hell?" and finally, "why does pop music these days make me want to kill myself...and not in the good way like it used to do...?"

In this issue Solid-Gold meets up with Captain Atomic, a pot inspired super hero. In oreder to get fired from his job, Solid draws an explicit advertisement, which leads to disasterous results. It climaxes with a good old sixties super hero punch up, inspired by Caps sexual frustration.

Due to my increasing frustration with the world, I turn Solid into a super villain. He blows up MacDonalds then kidnaps Hobos for his own profit. It ends with a wonderfully cheesy showdown between Solid, a German scientist and a gigantic Cthulu monster. Also the first appearance of Solid's evil sidekick, Snot the goblin.
